Credit unions have been in the media a lot in recent months as people find they're often a better and safer deal than other financial alternatives. CUNA has put a big focus on getting credit unions in the press on the basis that paid advertising doesn't usually carry as much weight as earned media like opinion and feature articles, interviews. etc. A long list of favorable nationwide media exposure efforts has been archived since the beginning of 2007. The results are really impressive when scrolling down the list to see credit unions prominently covered by the likes of USA Today, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, CNN, Kiplinger, Business Week, American Banker, and on and on.
