The House is in recess until 11/16. The Senate convenes today to consider a judicial nomination and then resume consideration of the Military Construction Appropriations bill. The Senate will recess after tomorrow's session in observance of Veterans' Day and reconvene on 11/16.

On Tuesday afternoon, the Senate Banking Committee will hold a hearing on overdraft protection legislation. The Committee invited three witnesses to testify on S.1799, the FAIR Overdraft Coverage Act: Travis Plunkett of the Consumer Federation of America, Eric Halperin of the Center for Responsible Lending, and Frank Pollack of Pentagon Federal Credit Union who will be testifying on behalf of himself. No trade association witnesses have been invited to testify at this hearing. CUNA will be sending a letter for the record of the hearing.
