AVCU President Joe Bergeron was part of a panel discussion before 50 NCUA regional examiners yesterday in New Castle, NH. Albany, NY based Regional Director Mark Treichel gathered his field staff for a multi-day retreat and to cover a variety of topics. Featured on the agenda was a panel discussion with league representatives the region’s states. With Bergeron on the agenda’s panel discussion were fellow league presidents John Murphy (ME), Dan Egan (MA) and Mike Wheeler (Compliance Director – NY). The panel of four discussed what credit unions in their respective states are experiencing in the current economy, prognosis for the corporate network and credit union impressions, services they provide to credit unions and fielded a variety of questions from NCUA staff members.
