Yesterday’s Huffington Post once again advised consumers to move their money to credit unions in an article titled Move Your Money: Where Populist Fervor Meets Friendly Faces. The article starts with reference to the millions of consumers looking for a way out of big banks who have paid huge bonuses to executives, have casino-style practices and have used millions of unreturned stimulus dollars. Favorable references to credit unions include web-based searches for local credit unions having tripled in recent weeks. Although you might not find anything new reported in this article that comes on the heels of so many favorable reports on credit unions nationwide, it’s still a very good read.
