AVCU President On State Issues Committee Posted by AVCU on 3:35 PM

Association President Joe Bergeron has been appointed to the State Issues Advocacy Committee of the American Association of Credit Union Leagues (AACUL). The committee’s purpose is to provide direction and feedback regarding state legislative and regulatory issues affecting credit unions and to identify pro-active strategies to promote the State Credit Union System. The committee is comprised of 15 league presidents and state government affairs specialists from across the country. It will work closely with CUNA’s State Government Affairs department, which monitors all state legislative sessions, and tracks credit union laws and regulations across the country. Bergeron also currently serves as chair of CUNA’s Cooperative Alliances Committee and as a CUNA board member.
