CUNA Audio Conference on Dodd-Frank Changes

Financial industry changes stemming from the recently enacted financial regulatory reform bill will be the focus of two upcoming CUNA audio conference calls. The conference will be in two sections, scheduled for August 24 and 25. They'll cover the overall impact of the legislation, and the implementation dates of key provisions. Debit interchange fee provisions and other important legislative changes in the new act, and their implementation, will be the focus of a discussion lead by CUNA's Senior VP/Deputy General Counsel Mary Dunn, VP of Legislative Affairs Ryan Donovan, Sr. Assistant General Counsel Jeff Bloch, and Special Projects Counsel Michael Edwards.

Part two will specifically address the proposed Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), as well as changes to home mortgage lending rules and truth in lending requirements. Proposed changes to credit union executive compensation, risk retention policies, and remittance policies will also be covered, as will potential changes to the NCUSIF and material loss reviews.
