on 10:25 AM

Today, CUNA released several documents summarizing and reviewing the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform & Consumer Protection Act of 2010 (H.R. 4173) - otherwise referenced as the new 2,300 page financial reform law. CUNA staff's review has produced 3 documents:
  1. a stand-alone analysis of the new interchange provisions and concerns about a number of those provisions
  2. a comprehensive 65-page summary reviewing all important provisions found throughout the 16 titles of the new law
  3. a brief summary that highlights key credit union provisions and other measures of interest, starting with Title X, which creates the new Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and addresses interchange provisions
All three have been provided to Vermont credit union chief executives by AVCU. The documents are available to CUNA/league members only. Two audio conferences will be announced shortly which will highlight significant provisions of the new law.
