CBS affiliate WCAX reported today that Vermont's senior senator, Patrick Leahy, is launching into the world of social media with his new Facebook page and twitter account. Although a bit late to the social media game, as noted by WCAX, Leahy was once known as the Cyber Senator as one of the first to launch a website, write a blog and hold online chats with students. Leahy's move into social media is based on his belief that Facebook and Twitter give people even more ways to interact with their lawmakers.
