CUAid Activated for Tornado Ravaged CUs

The National Credit Union Foundation (NCUF) has activated its CUAid online disaster relief system to raise money for credit union people affected by the recent tornadoes in the southern part of the country, hitting Alabama the hardest. Credit union supporters in every state can now make donations through a secured Web site that accepts credit cards and wire transfers (www.cuaid.coop). CUAid is the only program of its kind that enables credit union employees, volunteers, and members, as well as credit unions and state credit union foundations across the U.S., to contribute directly to support other credit union people. “We encourage credit union leaders all across the country to use CUAid.coop as a channel to collect donations from their employees, volunteers, and members,” said NCUF Executive Director Bucky Sebastian. As donations are posted through CUAid.coop, NCUF will coordinate with the credit union leagues across the southern part of the country to distribute money efficiently to credit union employees and members in the affected areas. “CUAid is one of many ways NCUF gives back to the credit union movement to thank donors for all their generosity,” Sebastian concluded.

Organizations and individuals can use a variety of CUAid Web buttons for their Web site. Please click here for the easily linkable buttons. Click here for a direct link to the donation form.
