5/15 Webinar: NCUA CU-Online Upgrade Explained

on 2:16 PM

The National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) is releasing an upgraded version of its Credit Union Online (CU Online) system late this month (May). Credit unions can learn more about the changes coming to cuonline.ncua.gov during a free, interactive webinar on May 15th at 9 a.m. Advance registration is required. Some notable changes include:

  • Instant warnings to prevent data-entry errors and omissions, and to identify inconsistencies with historical data;
  • Real-time calculations and edits without a need to save changes;
  • Help tips and instructions incorporated into each profile section;
  • Expanded read-only access capabilities for credit union staff and board directors;

Credit unions using CU Online will need to download and install new software, Microsoft Silverlight, as part of the overhaul if its not on the computer already. NCUA will also eliminate the paper notices to credit unions for each Call Report cycle when using CU Online. This reduces NCUA’s paper and postage costs by more than $20,000 annually. Credit unions with questions about the coming CU Online upgrade or the May 15 Webinar can email CreditUnionOnline@ncua.gov
