Help Members Switch to Electronic Benefit Payments

Consumers who receive federal benefit payments by paper check are required by the U.S. Department of the Treasury to switch to an electronic payment option by March 1, 2013.


The U.S. Treasury's Go Direct program offers a variety of materials to help financial institutions prepare consumers for the transition from federal benefit payment checks to direct deposit. Credit unions can learn how to participate in the campaign and access best practices and free materials at the Go Direct website.
