The first Bitcoin ATM in Vermont started operations on Saturday, 10/25 at Blu-Bin, a Vermont 3-D printing shop located in Burlington's Town Center mall in downtown Burlington. The Blu-Bin retail 3D printing company was founded in August, 2012. Their Bitcoin ATM was installed and is operated by PYC, a New York City based Bitcoin ATM operator. This is the first ATM PYC has installed outside of New York State, with most others in the New York City area.
The bitcoin ATM doesn't connect to a financial institution, and needs no PIN code or signing of any sort to conduct a transaction. Instead, it creates a way to convert cash for the virtual Bitcoin currency.
