After a few days of rumors, Vermont's House Minority Leader and former credit union official, Rep. Don Turner (R-Milton) made it official on Wednesday that he'll be running for lieutenant governor in the 2018 elections. As a Republican, Turner will compete against incumbent Lt. Gov. David Zuckerman, a Progressive and Democrat first elected in 2016. Zuckerman is also a credit union supporter.
Lt. Governor David Zuckerman
Turner is Town Manager of Milton and serves on the Supervisory Committee of Vermont Federal Credit Union. Zuckerman, also a credit union member and supporter, is a small business owner and farmer in addition to his duties as current Lieutenant Governor.
