On Tuesday, 11/10 at 1:00 p.m. EST the National Association of State Credit Union Supervisors (NASCUS) will hold a webinar featuring Kevin Fincher, Partner at Clifton Gunderson. He’ll provide up-to-date information on Unrelated Business Income Tax (UBIT), including what to do now to protect any potential refund of UBI taxes your credit union may have paid in light of recent favorable litigation, as well as newly identified UBI activity as a result of IRS' most recent TAM. Also included will be an update on items credit unions should be aware of regarding employee fringe benefits, and related potential tax pitfalls. The webinar will conclude with lobbying and political expenses, and subsequent excise taxes related to these items. It is open to both credit union staff and examiners.
