The August 18th online edition of American Banker features a report on the dominance PayPal is gaining in mobile payment features, including its rumored future as an additional payment system for Google phones. PayPal is exploring more advanced mobile features that even many banks still lack, like check deposits with mobile phone cameras, which would add paper checks as an entirely new funding option for PayPal accounts. The online payment systems goliath also has begun testing contact-less payment stickers, and will likely be used as the preferred payment system for phones running Google's Android software. PayPal is already the payment system behind Research In Motion's BlackBerry App World and is an option for buying apps on Apple's iPhone.
