NCUA Chairman Debbie Matz will host another virtual town hall meeting this Thursday, 2/17, from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. The free event will feature updates on NCUA’s initiatives to reform the corporate credit union system, minimize costs to consumer credit unions, and promote financial literacy for volunteers. In announcing the event last month, Matz said that “NCUA is moving forward on several initiatives this year to strengthen the safety and soundness of credit unions, which will keep assessments and premiums as low as possible. This free Webinar will be an efficient way to clearly communicate our initiatives and open a new dialogue with stakeholders.” Participants in the 90 minute webinar will be able to write in questions on any topic. The event is free and will be open to all, and later archived on NCUA’s website. Click here to register.
