Former Vermont Governor, Presidential candidate, Democratic party leader and physician, Howard Dean, was billed as one of the top political minds in the country when he debated Karl Rove before an audience of 300 Texas credit union representatives and legislators earlier this week. The 75 minute debate took place during the League's Governmental Affairs Conference. Rove is a former White House official and political advisor to President George W. Bush. Reportedly outnumbered as a Democrat, Dean wore an "I Love my Credit Union" button. The two political personalities debated causes of the economic crisis, political unrest in Egypt, illegal immigration and the 2012 presidential election.
