A hearing on the Fed's proposed rule to curb debit card interchange is being held this Thursday at 10 am. "Understanding the Federal Reserve’s Proposed Rule on Interchange Fees: Implications and Consequences of the Durbin Amendment" is being webcast. Overall, one can tell that House Financial Services changed political party control with the last election by perusing its website. Headings like . . . What's REALLY in Dodd-Frank, What's NOT in Dodd-Frank, and Collateral Damage . . .  set a tone of intent to closely scrutinize numerous aspects of the 2,300 page Democrat driven Dodd-Frank financial reform legislation.
