As testimony that modern day plastic card skimming in the U.S. can be done by almost anyone, CU Times reports that a 17 year old MacDonald's employee in Olympia, Washington was arrested today following discovery of thousands of dollars of expensive electronics, and skimming devices, at his home. The case was uncovered when cardholders of a local credit union began to report fraudulent transactions all performed at the local MacDonalds that employed the 17 year old. The skimming suspect bought digital cameras, ipads, computers and gaming systems with the stolen funds to sell on Craig's List.
